Dear Parents,
Welcome to March and a new week. We are celebrating Lutheran Schools Week this week with a different fun dress day each day, Monday through Thursday. Remember, these are not free dress days. If your child chooses not to stick with the theme, they need to dress in uniform. Friday is Grandparent’s Day. A letter for your child to deliver to their special person inviting them is being sent home today. I like for the grandparents to bring a book to read to the kids, either their choice or your child’s. We will have chapel that day (not Thursday this week), do some activities together, and then dismiss at 12:30pm- a minimum day.
We fell behind on our state/ capital study, but are back in the swing with 5 new states being added. They are: St. Paul, Minnesota, Des Moines, Iowa, Jefferson City, Missouri, Little Rock, Arkansas, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We added Madison, Wisconsin to the last list of 4, bringing us now to a grand total of 34.The kids are doing a great job with them, be sure they study at home as well. We’ll have a quiz in about 3 weeks.
The memory verse for the week is: So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.” Hebrews 13:6
Blessings for a great week-
Mrs. Sullivan
