Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday nights. Homework will be posted on the board daily and it is the student’s responsibility to write it down, bring it home, complete it, HAVE A PARENT CHECK IT AND SIGN THE HOMEWORK NOTEBOOK, and return it to school the next day.

Incomplete homework, as well as classwork assignments, will be completed at recess times or at home, but all assignments will be completed by each student.

If a child is absent, makeup work and homework will be expected to be  completed. For each day of school missed, they will be allowed that many days to complete and turn in work, or it will be done at recess times.

Homework is important because it is a link to school success. It provides an opportunity for children to review and apply information that has already been presented at school , and to practice and strengthen academic skills. It teaches responsibility and time management. It presents children with opportunities to become self-motivated and assertive in completing what they set out to do.
