~I want to apologize for not updating my website for such a long time! It seems that my move and wedding planning and letting go of the primary computer that I was used to threw me off course for getting this done.
~Our 2nd grade spelling tests are finished for the year. Woo-hoo... we made it all the way through second grade spelling skills! Because phonics is not taught as formal lessons in 3rd grade, I strongly advise parents whose students have struggled with their phonics and spelling skills to review them during the summer break.
~Reminder that school and daycare are closed next Monday, May 31 for Memorial Holiday.
~The 4th quarter ends June 3rd.
~School is closed Friday, June 4th. Daycare is open. That is a short week, so this week will be our last homework packet. Don't be too sad!
~Report cards are handed out Tuesday, June 8th.
~Make plans to attend our Menifee Beach Club field trip on Wednesday, June 9th. Parents are welcome. Permission slips will go out this week. Please return them by Friday, May 28. We'll need parents drivers.
**My, oh, my, the days are zipping by!!
~One more thing. We plan to have a class party the last day of school, June 10th (a mini day). I have money left over from our last field trip so I will pay for Pizza. I may ask for some donated food and/or games to borrow for the party. A sign up sheet will be posted by the end of next week. |
