First grade receives a weekly homework packet.  I send this home on Fridays and it is to be returned the following Thursday.  It consists of Spelling Work, Math, and Writing.  Occasionally a Science, Social Studies, or other type of assignment is sent home as well.  All pages require a Parent Signature to let me know that you've seen it and checked it over for mistakes. 

Math homework is sent home nightly and must be returned the following day.  A Parent Signature is also required on this page.  Thank you so much for your cooperation!

Reading through their Phonics Book for 20 minutes a night is also a daily homework requirement.  Reading daily is the best way to improve their skills and comprehension.  Feel free to record the minutes that they read on the 100 Minutes Reading Club log because they can earn exciting rewards!
