I encourage each child to participate in sharing (a grade will be given on Report Card).  To help your child prepare and organize what he/she will say, please refer to "Tips for Sharing" and the "Sharing Dog" that will go home before we start Sharing for the year.  A good place to keep the schedule is up on the refrigerator so you can reference it weekly.

Sharing will begin the week of October 5th.  Keep in mind that changes may be made periodically but a note will be sent home in advance. 

Please be mindful of what day your child shares.

Tips for Sharing

For classroom sharing, your child should be prepared to say the following:

1.  "This is my _____________."

2.  Two or three details, such as --

                 "I chose it because..."

                 "I like it because..."

                  "I do _________ with it."

                  "It was given to me by..."

                  "I got it at..."

                  "It is special or fun because..."

                   "I keep it in my..."

3.  "Are there any questions?"

                     We always do a boy question, girl question, and anyone question.

Sharing counts as a report card grade, sp please help your child practice.  Thank you and have fun!
